Let's Vintage Fall!

Let me start off by saying how much I absolutely love this outfit. I was super comfortable and warm the whole day (I was happy I didn't have to be weighed down by a coat!). I felt like throwing on a completely vintage outfit as I woke up with old memories.
What's better than a big sweater dress where you can throw on layers underneath without any annoying visible lines? I got this sweater at an awesome vintage shop in the city for just $20! The texture and material is unbeatable and it's so beautiful that it makes it super easy to make variety of outfits with. I layered it with a flowery vintage shirt that I got for $5, a vintage jeans long shirt for $10 and vintage stockings I got from my mom, I mean come on!!!
All I had to do now was accessories, pick the shoes, a bag and put on some make up to match my mood. I love rings and the more the merrier I say, so I got a little carried away haha. Added along my awesome vintage surfer necklace and a cool earpiece I got for a dollar.
This vintage bag is my absolute favorite, got it for just $25 dollars, real Moroccan leather that brings back childhood with just a quick sniff. The color is what I am truly obsessed with, it makes every outfit colorful again. I am so sad as it is starting to have some visible tear signs, sigh...
Last is boots! Yes they are awesome I know, $60 online. I usually stay away from buying shoes online because the size might be off or the shoe won't be comfortable but thankfully that isn't the case. I couldn't resist the wingtip and color these boots have. It makes them look vintage even though they are not. Also the high platform will be very useful when I have to start skipping over some puddles.

The point of this post is to get you inspired. Fashion does not have to be expensive! You can come out with outfits that aren't expensive but look expensive. All you need is creativity and a mood and viola!
I really want to start giveaways to my readers so post up a photo of your "cheap but not cheap looking" outfit , @ omgitsNofar, tag #AlmostGrownFashion and #AGFgiveaway to win a vintage item from my closet! Winner will be announced December 1st!

As Seasons Change spread

As Seasons Change: A spread we did for Ellements Magazine is in November/14 issue was such a fun experience and shoot! From photography by Will M. to wardrobe by Stephanie Anzalone to make up & hair by Suzana Hallili to model (me), everything was perfect and we came up with these beautiful images. We had so much fun shooting in our secret location and to our luck the weather was perfect! Stephanie pulled some amazing styles from incredible designers and Suzana kicked butt matching the make up & hair to the edgy looks we were going for. When my time came getting photographed by the talented Will, I felt like an edgy princess warrior and my posing was inspired by my feeling. I literally climbed a rock mountain in my louboutins and almost gave Willl a heart attack but it was more than worth it and I will do it all over again. It is so much fun to work with a team that everybody is on the same page, what more can a model ask for?

Check out outfit details right under this picture and make sure to check out all these designers- these styles you see here are really just a glimpse of what they have in store!!

I hope you enjoy this blog as much as I do! xoxo

Red Red Coat

FALL IS HERE!!! I am soo happy since it's my favorite season with what I think has the best style. This not too cold, not too hot weather makes it perfect to throw on a big thin sweater, jeans and a red coat. As the trees start to transform into beautiful different shades of yellow, red and orange tones- a red coat walking through this movement makes it so attractive to the eye. Red coat is definitely a must have once the Fall is around. I got my baby from Zara last season but not to worry because they sure do have red coats >here< that are just as beautiful. I wish I can get them all! My sweater is vintage and I wish I can find this type of sweater material in every color and at all so I can share with you guys!

One more thing- these boots are my everything! I got them two years ago and they are still holding on, I literally used them in every weather possible including snow. I am thinking about getting 10 more so I have them forever haha! I somehow found them on amazon for you gals >here< , not sure why the reviews are not 5 stars but if you want sexy brown boots that compliment your legs and can last a while- ignore the bad reviews and get these badboys!

Oh Fall... makes me feel like a kid running around in the crunchy leafs that already made their way down. Once all the trees are naked and Winter is here I sure will miss this weather. Until then- don't forget to cover your ears and neck 'cause as much as I love Fall, it is 'getting sick' weather.

Hello again

Hey all! I am so sorry I have been M.I.A. I have so many exciting things to share and even better- NEW CLOTHES TO SHOW! I promise to get better at this blog and take better photos for you guys haha..
Well this is throw back to NYFW just outside Lincoln Center, before walking for the incredible Michael Costello, I went to watch some shows and got captured in my awesome outfit. I completely felt punk chic that morning and decided to express it with an outfit. I threw on my Vintage denim shirt, H&M skirt & jacket, Zara pumps, finished it up with burgundy lips (Sin by Mac), vintage shades and walked out to take on the day. As you can tell I also got my favorite little vintage bag, it's so tiny and fits all the things I need! I hate big bags because they equal a big mess for me. I was so comfortable that day, felt super sexy, and the jacket kept me nice and warm when the cold night showed up. My biggest tip for dressing in the morning- wear your feelings!

ARGYLECULTURE by Russell Simmons

Can you say WOW?? Walking for ARGYLECULTURE by Russell Simmons
WOW was all that was on my mind. His designs and the quality of his clothes just blew my mind!
As I kept photographing from moments before I went in, to getting hair down to literally seconds before everyone rocked the runway - I was thinking about how much it will be awesome to share those precious moments with everyone. Styling was done by none other than Alicia Crutchfield which rocked it!
The models were beautiful and kind, there were celebrities there like 50 Cent, Al sharpton, Kimora Lee Simmons, Po Johnson, Suzana Hallili, Miss J Alexander and much more! I am so grateful for being part of the show and I want to thank everyone for making this experience so much greater. I also got to be featured in NY Post magazine and other websites like GQ. Here are some of my favorites looks from this show but before I will quickly explain my fun look before the show:
Pants from Flavour86
Shirt from Torn by Ronny Kobo
Shoes from ZARA

Now here are some of my favorite looks:

THANK YOU UNCLE RUSH! <3
